Unlike most leak detection companies we aim to Find and Fix your water leak at the same time, at no additional charge to you. Our engineers are qualified plumbers with many years experience and can usually carry out the repair fairly quickly and easily.
Our promise is… If we can fix the leak with the standard commonly used parts stocked in our vans, within the timeframe we have quoted for, then in these circumstances we will do our very best to do so. We offer this additional Find & Fix service as a courtesy to our customers but isn’t guaranteed in all circumstances. If we run out of time or the part required isn’t readily available or non-standard then in these circumstances we will give you a separate estimate to return and carry out the repair. Our terms and conditions set this out in more detail.
Rest assured, in most circumstances we are able to do the repair at the same time, helping you get back to normal with the minimum of fuss.

Help with Insurance Companies
Much of our work is carried out on behalf of clients who have insurance cover for ‘Trace & Access’.This cover will usually pay for water leak detection companies to locate your water leak.
The Leak Detective is very aware of the limitations and scope of Trace & Access cover and will advise and guide you through the process to try and make sure your claim is covered.
Upon completion we will provide you with a written report including photos and video which can be presented to your insurer to validate your claim.
